TO ALL NIGHTHAWK FAMILIES
Please see note below regarding registration for the Newmarket Nighthawks 2021-2022 season. It is definitely going to look very different this season and we will be taking it day by day. We will do the best we can considering The Town of Newmarket and all public health guidelines and regulations around COVID-19.
Please remember if families decide not to register their athlete for this season, you will not lose your “spot” with the Nighthawks.
Nighthawks families, its almost time to lace up the skates and get back on the ice. Please remember that registration is all online and NO paper copies will be accepted due to safety measures. Registration is open until Friday October 15th when it will be paused at 6pm until Sunday October 17th, the same will happen for the next 2 weeks. This ensures our volunteers and coaches have all current registrations before the morning of practice. Below is the list of information we need before your player will be allowed on the ice. When you arrive at the change rooms for the Honda Arena our Senior parent rep Tammy Wanschura will check that we have received all registration information required before you enter.

Here is part of the Town's "re-opening the arenas" requirements for everyone entering an arena:
- Participants and spectators are required to complete the Town of Newmarket’s COVID-19 Public Screening Tool prior to entering the facility. Using a smart phone or home computer (print of checkmark), participants will be required to show the screening staff their green checkmark showing they are not experiencing any symptoms. Club/association/ league are welcome to use their own screening process in addition to the Town’s screening tool if needed.
- Participants and guardians/spectators must wear a mask upon entry and will be required to hand sanitize their hands.
- Once screened; participants will have access to the dressing room hallway to make use of dressing rooms if needed or access the rink and head to the staging area A (team A) or area B (team B) which is located on the players bench side of the arena.
- Participants must practice physical distancing (2m or 6 ft) while moving through public spaces, in the dressing room and staging areas.

Registration update
Hi team, thank you for those of you who have registered. Please double check that you have completed all 5 steps listed below. To ensure the coaches and registration volunteers have everything they need for safety & player information before the first day of hockey registration links will be paused from Friday October 15th at 6pm until Sunday October 17th at 8am. If your player has not completed all steps by Friday October 15th they will not be allowed on the ice on Saturday October 16th. Senior parent rep. Tammy Wanschura will be at the arena on October 16th to check players have completed all steps before going on the ice. All registration is paperless, no cash, cheques or registration forms will be accepted at the arena.
If your player will not be joining us
this year please let us know. Their spot will be held until they are ready to
